RevLite® Laser Facial at Westside Laser & Light in SW Calgary

Q-switched laser skin rejuvenation at its finest for melasma, pigmentation and overall glowing and healthy skin

RevLite Laser Facial is a no downtime laser treatment for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, collagen stimulation, fine-lines and texture for healthy, glowing skin.

The RevLite SI has special capabilities and uses Q-Switched laser technology for extremely short laser pulses which is highly effective for breaking up pigment and is also a safe and effective treatment for hormonal pigmentation known as melasma.

What makes RevLite Laser Facial so popular is that it is much less invasive than laser resurfacing treatments, yet the results can be significant without the added risk and social downtime. RevLite Laser Facial stimulates collagen production underneath the surface of the skin, while at the same time gently blasting away surface debris. This leaves the skin looking and feeling instantly improved while also producing long-term benefits. Blackheads disappear instantly and pores are improved.

This treatment is suitable for all skin types and there is no downtime. A RevLite Laser Facial series consists of 6 or more sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart.

RESULTS WITH REVLITE LASER

How does it work

RevLite Laser Facial uses Q-switched laser technology to deliver thousands of short laser pulses to the skin at high peak-energy for maximum efficacy and comfort. The light vibrates and shatters pigment and vaporizes debris like blackheads and dead skin cells while the patented photo-acoustic shockwaves stimulate deeper collagen production.

The sensation is mild and often described as “electric rain drops”. Topical numbing cream may be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment.

Immediately following the treatment, the skin will be red and mild swelling may persist for about one hour. There is no downtime with this treatment and normal activities can be resumed immediately. This laser is safe for most skin types and is a great option for both correction and maintenance of the skin's appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is LimeLight?

The Limelight™ Facial is a new, non invasive approach to skin rejuvenation which can be customized for different skin tones and ageing skin conditions. The result is an exceptionally effective skin rejuvenation treatment with minimal discomfort.

What are the typical areas that are treated?

Limelight™ can be used on any sun damaged area of the body especially the face, neck, décolleté, hands, arms legs and back. Good candidates for this procedure are people with freckled, discolored, red, blotchy or brown spots, which were previously difficult to treat. In addition, this is a very effective treatment for the redness or dilated blood vessels and the flushing of Rosacea.

How does LimeLight work?

Your treatment can be customized to your skin type and selectively treat the red or brown spots on your skin. It’s the heating of the pigmented brown or red cells that causes the therapeutic effect. Immediately after the treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may be slightly red. Within one to three weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade.

When should one start LimeLight rejuvenation?

As one ages, the skin’s texture and colour declines dramatically, and superficial veins and sun spots become evident. Now with the advent of photo rejuvenation devices, virtually any patient in their twenties or above can be a candidate for a little brightening of their skin.

Can LimeLight be combined with other treatments?

Limelight™ PhotoFacial is commonly performed as part of a skin rejuvenation treatment protocol that could include fractional lasers like Fraxel® Restore Dual and collagen-boosting treatments like the Exilis Ultra™ and Thermage™ treatments. Botox® and dermal fillers can be safely combined with Limelight™ and are usually done after a Limelight procedure.
